Knowing what to Expect

Once you have made the decision to list your home with Re/Max we are ready to hit the ground running. The following is what you can expect after you have signed the listing agreement.

We will obtain a key for your home and place a lockbox on the property. Usually we install it on your front door but we can also attach it to a gate or permanent structure.

We will place our company sign in the front of your home. Some homeowners associations will not allow them to be in the yard and may need to be in a window. If you have an active association it will be important to find out if they have regulations regarding the posting of signs.

Our showing desk will receive your contact information along with any specific instructions such as alarm systems, etc. that will be given to agents calling to schedule a showing.

If you have chosen to have your home staged, the stager will contact you to set up a time for your consultation. It is important to make this appointment as soon as possible. The staging process needs to be finalized prior to the home being photographed. If you are choosing not to have staging, the photographer will be scheduled.

Once the photos have been done it will take a day or two for them to be edited. Once the photos are done we will post your listing in the MLS. The links for all of the marketing will be emailed to you for your review.

Once your home is active on the MLS, any interested buyer will contact their agent and in turn that agent will contact our showing service to schedule a showing. If you are requiring an appointment, they will contact you to confirm. If you are not available or if that day/time does not work, they will call the agent and ask them to reschedule. Once you confirm the showing, the showing desk will notify the agent that you have approved the showing.
